The project consist in the design of a power source of High Voltage DC, considering main specs: - Input: 220 Vac, 50/60Hz - Power: 200W. - Output: 15kV DC - 25kV DC, variable, with an optimum operating point of 20 kV. - Programmable operation: programmable output voltage in the range established above; an external security switch has to be able to shut down the output; a current sensor at the primary of the HV transformer (as you will see in the attached document), should be able to shut down the output for a programmable time in case of a power increasement (for example, a short circuit at the output), after the shutdown time, the output is energized again. The programming itself is not required, but everything has to be considered in the design. The topology is based based in a high-voltage half-bridge switched mode power supply, which is described in the document attached. Basically, is the same circuit, with a uC included. Our goal is to design and simulate the circuit (using LTspice or similar), with specification of each component. The PCB design is going to be a separate project.
