Looking at your issue I think that it is because there is something wrong with your formula. The first approach was sound to create a formula that specifies two sets of criteria. What you can also do is look at sumproduct. However, if you can better explain what your end goal is I may be able to assist. If countifs do not work you can just write your own countif function.

Hi, if you want to count the number of values you have I your data set for specific columns, I don't think you need to use "Countif", I guess "count" should work. Please send me a message
