Background:
At our workplace, we use the simple Java based mobile phones.
This phone can be easily installed with a software called
Mini Excel Version 1.5.
This software is easily available on the web.
The Mini Excel is used by us for its flexibility to enter numbers in each cell in a tabular form.
In all, we use 7 columns only.
Each column has a header.
The data consisting of numbers upto 4 digits is entered in each cell of the 7 columns going down to almost 50 rows.
We then save the file and it is saved within a Java directory. The output file is also attached for your reference.
Our Requirement:
As you would notice, this is a MIDP-RMS file structure.
We require a utility to allow us convert this file to a CSV Data structure.
We would then use this file with normal excel
Options:
You may choose whichever is the easiest at your end.
1) To give us a midlet of Java that we would load on the phone and this apps could convert the existing file to a CSV File.
2) To give us a small PC Utility that could convert the file on the desktop after we copy the file from the phone to the PC.
