The English landscape style is the known influence that shifted from formal, symmetrical gardens to a looser, irregular style. The English garden was a turn of the century ideal and changed many aspects of landscape to the community. Before the introduction of English landscape, nature was views as dangerous, the English landscape completely changed this view to appreciate and value the natural world. I am proficient in the use of CAD Software including Sketchup, AutoCAD, Photoshop and Illustrator. For the Landscape Design projects I undertake, I produce 2D Concept, Landscape, Planting, Lighting and Irrigation Plans supported by rendered 3D and 2D visuals. I generally work from drawings provided by the client in dwg/dxf format. I can create a plan from a sketch with dimensions, a hand drawn or hard-copy plan that has been scanned. I have undertaken projects in the UK, South Africa and the US. I understand the suitability and requirements of plants from all three countries. It would be good to find out a little more about the types of projects your company undertakes and therefore the level of detail you and your clients require in order to communicate the design vision and intent. For a "full-house" design, i.e. one that requires concept, landscape, planting, lighting, irrigation plans and 3D rendered images, I reckon on up to 5 days of work depending on the size of the site and complexity of the design.
