Position Overview: The View Marketing team is seeking a web developer with a passion for customer facing apps with great UI/UX, excellent HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, and MySQL skills and that can own the full stack of [login to view URL], including ongoing operations and maintenance. You've worked with Drupal and are comfortable with the essential core and contributed modules/plug-ins as well as creating custom modules. You know how to write preprocess functions for Drupal custom templates and themes. You are adept in governing the CMS code in a clean and maintainable way. You are current with the latest trends in web development, in-depth understanding of cross-browser compatibility, and strive to employ only the most useful and valuable parts. You must be able to demonstrate prior experience on creating web experiences that you’re proud to show off for their polished UI and appropriate use of modern technologies and best practices. We are looking for work that is flawless in its quality, and impactful for our business and all targeted audiences. You must be an effective communicator, detail-oriented with a commitment to solid technical infrastructure and cutting-edge web technologies. Responsibilities: • Work closely with Marketing, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood • Perform a technical analysis of requirements • Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements • Tackle tough design and UX problems • Create new ideas with our digital team and continually iterate on the experience • Ensure high level of quality • Take full ownership of projects from design to implementation and deployment Requirements: • 5+ years of web production or site operations experience • Please have a portfolio or personal website showcasing your work for us to review! • Mastery of HTML and CSS/Sass • Experience with Javascript/jQuery and web development best practices • Experience with Drupal, PHP and MySQL • Ability to work both independently and in cooperation with others • Ability to instill and enforce best practices around web development • Ability to navigate large existing code, and improve it as it changes • A sense of urgency and ownership over the product • Great attitude towards work and people • Intellectually curious, passionate, and inventive • Focus on quality and simplicity, sweat the details, and delight our users • Motivated to solve problems in unique and innovative ways • Desire to make things beautiful, and a strong understanding of usability and visual design • Experience with version controls (preferably Git) Strong working knowledge of: • PHP • Databases/MySQL • Laravel • JavaScript/jQuery • HTML • CSS/Sass • XML and JSON • Front-End Development • Back-End Development • Version controls (Git) • Understand Gulp and its configuration
