AIMES is an award-winning cloud technology company, providing data centre services, application development and connectivity services for a broad range of clients in the Health and Care Sectors, including hospitals & clinical commissioning groups. The Application is a Study/Trial Governance Management System. The Application Version 1 is an existing monolithic web application consisting of three main components, these being: • Web Portal; • Database; • Document Volume(s); The Web Portal and the document volume share one application server and the database resides in its own server. Making a change (or correcting a previous unknown bug) is both time and resource consuming. It is expected that the Application will grow in the following areas: • Volume not so much in terms of the database, but in terms of the number of documents added. As more studies, hence as more sites are added, the volume of documents will grow accordingly. Scalability is an issue. • Functionality – The idea of The Application is for each clinical research centre (CRC) that adopts the Application, any new functionality required by that CRC will automatically be made available to the other CRC’s; In order to incorporate these potential changes, a method of developing, scaling, deploying and monitoring the Application is required. This document relates to the Application Version 3 based around DevOps. The requirement is to migrate the current monolithic .net web application to a containerised microservices application. The Specification uploaded has been redacted A copy of the V1 source code will be made available to shortlisted final candidates, who will be required to sign an NDA prior to receipt of the file.

It is about clinical research, sites, study and documents.
