I want to set up a website like [login to view URL] which runs user-generated Swift in the browser.
To do this, I need someone to do the following:
1. Install Swift on an VPS running Ubuntu (I will provide the VPS)
2. Enable web access to the VPS, so that I can visit a URL and get the output of some swift code. So for example going to
[login to view URL]("Hello World")
Would return Hello World.
That's all I need - I don't need someone to create the website, just a VPS setup that can process custom Swift and return the output.
Thanks!
Rob
Hi Rob,
For the purpose of simply running Swift trough a web server, a simple setup of a web server (apache or lighttpd) with a bash script as CGI does the work perfectly.
This script can receive the code to execute by an argument in the url (http://x.x.x.x/runswift?code=print("hello world")) and also when being called using POST (and receiving the code as the request body).
I can do this for you as soon a have the VSP login details.
