I am excited to work for this non-profit, I have worked with similar non-profits in my area. I can give you a colored and shaded drawing and a simplified logo, though both will take some time. Would you like the open door/window motif from both of your examples to be incorporated as well, or would it be better to be a closed door that they are unlocking with the key? And would you like the character to be a male or female child, or ambiguous? I have a lot of ideas.
