ColorBook modification

I need to create an initial screen where user can select Categories previous to paint the image. For example: Application has 3 differents categories. Animals,Cars and fruits. The images must be read from xml file or local json file. Each category will have an xml file or json file. Once user click on category it should go to a new screen with a gridview showing samples of every image in the category after clicking user will be taken to the paint screen (which is already developed).
