Hello, When application is installed to any smartphone it asks for contact access of that phone. When user allows contact access all phone contacts are uploaded to truecaller server. Then they apply their algorithms to avoid repeated numbers and get exact name saved for that perticular number. When other users search the number it gives name. Hope it was helpful
