In South Africa where internet data usage is expensive and connectivity not very good, I need you to develop a Live Audio streaming application for Windows PC that would stream live (could have delay of 2-3 minutes, but ideally live) audio to an Android App.
The application would run on the PC and use the live sound of a presentation, upload it via 3G internet connection which would probably not be very good and could drop. You would then develop an android phone app where the user could listen to the stream with very low data usage. About 10 users should be able to stream. Data in SA is expensive and you should aim for 100M data usage per user/ hour with still relative good sound. Both the PC and phone app needs to be light itself and does not need much functionality.
On the PC App, connect to server, stream. Only a few functions
On the Android app only a few functions, like Listen.
The key is light applications, very light data usage with relative acceptable sound. You would therefore need to know something about sending and the ‘decoding’ of sound.
Use freeware Window Media encoder, thats super fantastic multiple bit rate (MBR) options, which choose Bit rate according to client speed ....
If you like my idea kindly award me Project
