Upgrade php/Mysql and check old script is still working ok

I have some 10+ year old scripts using fcgi and mysql 5.0. I want to update my virtual server software, but whm will not allow the upgrade because of older mysql version on my Virtual server. The error shows: Newer releases of cPanel & WHM are not compatible with your MySQL version: 5.0. Upgrade your MySQL server to a version greater or equal to 5.1 I have whm on CENTOS 5.10, I need to upgrade from mysql 5 to latest version along with upgrading php. Upgrading is easy in cpanel/whm, but I dont want upgrade unless you can be on standby to fix these older scripts if they start to error once php/mysql is upgraded. I currently have PHP 5.2.17 installed, WHM EasyApache is wanting to install PHP 5.4. This will likely cause issues with outdated scripts, as there are some deprecated functions in PHP 5.4 Your job is to run the updates php/Mysql and Apache (you can use whm and cpanel, and check the scripts are still working, and fix any errors if they break. The scripts are mostly written in perl/fcgi from 1998. The script submits my domains to search engines. This job is to fix this ONE set of scripts, not all of the scripts on my server. I'll probably need more work on others next. Please be proficient with perl/cgi with a mysql backend. Thanks for your bid!
