Create a MySQL Countdown String

I have a column in my database table of the unix timestamp that a sports event starts. The column is named start_unix. I want a sql query that will return a countdown, the time until this event starts. It should return the following: xx days xx hours - if the event starts in more than 24 hours xx hours - if the event starts in more than 1 hour xx minutes - if the event starts in less than 60 minutes xx seconds - if the event starts in less than 60 seconds For each of the above it should have correct grammar and use proper plurals, i.e. it should say 1 day 2 hours and not 1 days 2 hours. If the column's value is NULL, it will return NULL. The solution only needs to be a SQL query, I do not need any javascript or dynamic updates.
