I would like to create a quick python script which download all page title, meta data and description from Jira confluence to local mysql database. As input I will give starting link and from then onward, script need to keep on going down more like file traversing. We need to collect all child pages and their child pages. We also need to keep relevance also, to understand parent tree. You will be building your solution on your machine and I will test it on my machine.

Hello, I read your project brief. You didn't mention the URL of the website. Anyways, I can create a script for you that will get you page title, metadata, description and other information that you want out of Jira Confluence based site. Because I haven't visited the website myself I'm not sure whether it uses AJAX or not. If in case that site is using AJAX to get its content then it would be quite difficult for me to get data out of it using Python alone. In that case I usually use PhantomJS to load the AJAX laden website first and then deliver the data to Python script for further processing. About Me ======== I'm a Python and PHP developer. I have experience in coding web scrapers, web crawlers, and web bots in these languages. I usually prefer to use PHP for writing web scrapers because of its lenient parsing of HTML in DOM API.
