Need a narrator for English version of Norwegian folk tales

We are looking to publish an audiobook in English of the Norwegian folk tales collected by famous duo Asbjørnsen & Moe in the period 1830-1870. In 2017 we published a collection of these tales read by some of Norway’s most prominent theatre actors over the last 30 years. This was a complete collection of the 14 stories about a character called “Askeladden” (the ash lad), who is still today a very well-known character, and it was released digitally and on CD. In 2017 and 2019 there has been two full-feature movies about this “Askeladden” character, based on assorted events within the tales. The tales are therefore kept very much alive. The tales are in the same tradition as the ones collected by German Grimm brothers and Danish [login to view URL], 1001 nights etc, with a moral guideline in their core. At the same time, they were collected about 170 years ago, and today we find some of them quite brutal. As some of the Norwegian actors have pointed out, the stories are told with little empathy – “he stabbed his brother in both eyes, and went on to search for the princess…” This is an important part of Norway’s cultural heritage, and we believe it should be more widely available, not the least due to the fact there are more than 4 million Norwegian descendants in the US alone. We have English translations of the more popular tales, and seek to record about 20-25 of these. Lengths vary a lot, some tales are read in 2 minutes, while others may last 25 minutes. We are looking for a narrator who can bring these old tales to life, with adventurers, kings and princesses, trolls and witches.
