Online Pick and Mix Functionality

The brief is to create a Pick and Mix functionality whereby the user can select an empty package of varying size or style from those available. That package will have a given capacity in weight. The user can then proceed to fill that package with sweets from a given category (i.e. pick and mix sweets). The sweets will have no value but each ‘scoop’ will have a given weight. For example, the user may select a box/jar that handles 800g of sweets. They may then fill this with 8x100g selections of sweets from the pick and mix category. The following are the expected components that need developing. There may be additional components not considered. It will be up to the developer to assess what is needed to achieve the desired results. Adding attributes to boxes and pick’n’mix products Creating a page layout similar to This Slide (see attached) Creating code to control box selection and addition to the basket Creating the % complete progress bar graphic – Note to reduce costs, the developers are invited to offer alternative ways to display this information to the customer Creating code that manages the weight of pick and mix sweets selected.
