Joomla fix

I need a very quick modification done on a Joomla template. I need a particular graphic to fit at the top of main page. I have been playing around with code but have had no luck. Please see attached .pdf for further details. I need this fixed within the next two hours. I need the fix carried out and then details to be provided so that I can do it next time. Once there is enough room I will be able to put anything else up there too I suppose no matter how wide the graphic is.
