Linux Enthusiast: Need website design and implementation integrating Mambo/Other CMS based web portal w/RSS aggregator, banner ads, and ecommerce for LinuxPC.org

**This is for & relating to the site: [[login to view URL]][1]** Looking for someone knowledgeable of Linux & [login to view URL] type Opensource resources to create a Linux/Opensource portal/resource base utilizing a good/secure content management system -such as Mambo/Typo3/etc. (Not phpNuke or postNuke). Must be familiar with & supporter of the linux and opensource movement with a desire to create a community resource base. Needs to have the following features: * Look good/professional * Highly visable (and stable) **ecommerce** side (i.e. Linux PC configurator) -very important*** * Banner Ad Rotation management (allowing for paid banner ad inclusions) * User submittable news/articles (which must be approved by admin) * Integrated Search * Scrolling news on home page * Some simple flash to add to "interactive" look * Contact/RFQ form Scope of the project will include: * Concept/Design of the Website * Installation of Mambo or other CMS * Setting up RSS aggregator & selecting appropriate feeds * Design of simple "Advertise here" starter rotational banner ads * Initial Content * Set up of forum & creating forum categories * Set up secure ecommerce PC configurator (to tie into Paypal for payment initially but have ability to link up to [login to view URL] or clone payment gateway) * Set-up/categorization for "Professional Services" area where users who provide various professional services can post their offerings I think Mambo will cover much of the functionality -but I'm looking for someone with some creative ideas in their head that would enjoy working on this project with little supervision to create their dream linux/opensource resource site -but with the know-how to combine the essential components that will make such a site profitable. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Will run on Debian "Woody" GNU/Linux servers w/current version of MySQL & PHP 5. Must work in IE 5.5+ and current versions of Mozilla/Netscape/Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Konquerer browsers.
