Hi, I have more than 12 years of experience with both php and java. I believe you want to process data from a source and update the data as well as present the data. Also export the data. I believe php script would suit better here as it is quite flexible and you can easily generate HTML reports that can be viewed from multiple platforms (browsers from desktop, mac, smart phone etc). In addition to that is having seamless integration with the database. Thanks!

That's not too much. How do you want to upload things? Like do you want a web page you type them into or a file selector? This is kind of a basic database table with some sort of web page that allows importing and exporting. Both sides have pretty minimal functionality I think. I've done a lot of apps like this -- my last job was writing PHP web pages that allowed employees to manage inventory. I've been doing PHP for 5 years and doing MySQL for 14. And I have a degree in Computer Engineering from CMU. So I could definitely do this -- we'd just need to flesh out the details.

Hello. I have read the requirements (database of codes that can be added, exported, reported) of the project and I believe I understand your needs. I can create the application in either PHP or Java but I would advise you to use Java since the program will be completely self contained. If needing a server-based DB isn't a problem however PHP is the best choice since production will be much, much faster. Please contact me so we can discuss the program further.
