Project : Membership/Subscription site Description This is not a membership site but similar. Some software are installed in a vps (ubuntu) to provide different services (total 7 packages) to the clients. These packages are called ‘group’ : Group 1, Group 2, ….. Group 7. Clients need to connect to the server using login details. These login details are created in a file named ‘[login to view URL]’. This is a plain text file and the admin can edit this using notepad or any text editor. The file is located in /usr/local/etc/. A sample of this file is attached. Anybody wants to have service, will have to connect to the vps using the login details in the ‘[login to view URL]’. One connection means one login/user in the [login to view URL] file. The admin creates users (connection) manually and sell it to the clients. Now admin has some existing resellers/agents who need to be able to create and manage connections themselves – this is the project. Reseller/agents : They will buy from us and then they will sell those connections to their customers. This means we will have to give the resellers some kind of arrangements so that they can create users (connections) themselves. Basically agents will make payments by any means and only the admin will update the payment history into the system manually. No online payment is involved here. Resellers will then be able to create connections if they have a balance in their account. Suppose each connection is $5 and he deposited $40. If he finds 2 customers he will create 2 connections, so remaining balance is 40 – 5*2 = $30. The services are running in a vps and sometimes it is found that the performance of the vps is not good or some kind of problem. So the admin sometimes change the vps or transfer all the services/software to a new vps server. For this reason we are thinking to use a simple website (dashboard) hosted somewhere. Resellers will login to THIS website/dashboard, then they will perform their activities (deposit money, creating/editing connections in vps) from here. This means this website/dashboard will have to be connected to that vps so that resellers can edit the users in the vps. Resellers do not have any knowledge about the software. Also you do NOT need to have any knowledge about the software/services installed in this vps since you will be dealing with the [login to view URL] file only. There is a ‘tolerance’ amount involved here. Tolerance : Tolerance is a –ve balance upto which the system will allow a reseller to create connections. Suppose tolerance amount is $20. If a reseller has finished all his credit he can still purchase connections until his balance is -$20. After that he cant create any new connections. When a reseller reaches a balance of zero or –ve, an email should be sent automatically to the reseller (and to admin) to notify the balance and to make payment.s Mobile friendly : Resellers will be mainly using their mobile phones. So this site (or at least the reseller page) is expected to be responsive.
