i need a bat script to backup a MYSQL database to a remote FTP server, the local server is window server 2008, and local MYSQL is within the XAMPP environment, the MYSQL dump file need to be named as "file-year-month-day",
No actual FTP server and local mysql database name will be provided, so Please write all variables at beginning of the script for later modification.
this script needs to be as a working alone script, preferably it does not require external application to be installed to make this script work.
cheers and happy coding
Hello Good Day
I know how to programatically backup a database and ftp the file to a configured ftp server. I can do this project for you. Looking forward to work with you.
Thanks

Hello.
Note 1: your project does not allow users to bid less then $250 so it's impossible to make the bid you waiting for. But you can close this project and create new one with other range of bids. Or it's possible to create only 1 milestone for this project and ignore second request for milestone
Note 2: at least mysqldump should be used as a external application, there is no internal command to dump mysql database to file.
Note 3: I can do this job for you for $30, not for $15. All needed parameters will be at the begin of file or in separated configuration file
Hi,
I just your requirements, and I'm very say I can fulfill your requirements on time.
I have 3+ years experience mobile and web development.
do you really need bat script or you just want backup your MySQL database to your server?.
I can do this without bat script.
if you are interested with my proposal, kindly contact me.
looking forward to hearing from you
Regards
Shafi
I already created your script and tested it. I tried to set payment on 50 AUD, but in your request set minimal 250. So, if you agree on 50 AUD I can send script.
I can build this bat file for you with simple variable substitution with comment instructions at top of the file for the actual path to the database file and the ftp site url. I will test with a database file and ftp site of my own before delivering the finished script to you so it should work straight away. All of your requirements can be met by batch file and utilities already present in Windows Server 2008 so no additional software is required.
