I'm not sure if the products are to be listed based on the city or by finer grained locations like the pincode. Also, I would ask if there are any restrictions on the locations. Now, this bid is for filtering the products based on user location, and not having anything to do with delivery. I would follow the examples you provided and have the user select their own location instead of trying to auto-detect it. My approach would be to develop this as a plugin on a test site first, password-protected from the public. When it had all or most of the functionality, I'd request a site copy and db snapshot from you, and setup of a copy of your site on my server, password - protected from the public. Then I'd make sure my plugin worked on the site copy before giving you the completed plugin to deploy to your site. Thank you for considering my bid.
