Want a challenge? Windows CE 6.0 based Magic Drive Touch

Hello. My name is Matt. I am a wheelchair user and I control the wheelchair myself with the help of a headswitch a a device called Magic Drive Touch (MDT). Here is a link on youtube [login to view URL] So...what I need from someone with an opened mind and knowhow in Windows CE are some ideas and solutions with a couple of things. First thing: currently I have text to speech but only for a notepad type of writer. I would need it for my SMS texts too. Secondly: I have attached a photo of the screen I use to control my PC. When I go into this screen, those red buttons are programmed to send out a signal to a USB module which sends the click command to the Communication aid (I cannot use two switches for each of the devices). The problem is that I have to use automatic scanning to go through the menus. That means that the cursor does not stay onto one button for more than 1.3 seconds. You can see how that would be a problem when I control the PC. A solution to this would be to make a button that lets me lock on it until I long press to go back to the normal scanning mode. Third: When I write a text message, I sometimes select by mistake the screed that takes me to the next menu, of sending the SMS to someone. But when I try to go back to the previous screen, it deletes everything that I wrote. So a solution for this would be a confirmation message (e.g. “are you finished with this message”) And this, like a general thing, my MDT restarts once in a while for example when I change profiles so I can have more icons on one page and other times, for no apparent reason. So the error log would have to be checked. That’s about it for now. Thank you for your help. Regards, Matt Kirk
