A simple Python script that displays a list of Virtual Machines that have snapshots. User input: - ip-address of ESXi server - username for ESXi server - password for ESXi server Output: - on screen - in text file in current working directory Output will list either: 1. "the virtual machines have no snapshots" 2. a list of virtual machine names with below the name the snapshot names/date/time Purpose: The purpose of this script is to quickly see which virtual machines have snapshots (without having to right click on each virtual machine in vSphere client) The script will list all the virtual machines that have snapshots on an ESXi server. This Python script can run from a Windows command prompt and from Linux console.
