Looking for keen big data guys and girls with machine learning experience to work on News Discovery Platform which is crawling and summarising new stories on >150,000 sites every 15 minutes. We need help with improving our machine learning to build a bunch of new features such as categorise stories down to a micro topic level, story quality indicators, readability, detect spam, and story recommendation. We want to move to a unsupervised learning model (currently supervised) Ideally you are based +/- 6 hours from Sydney time zone. I am happy to take applications from all faiths, nationalities, sexes and sexual preferences, I just want great people. These items are non negotiable 1. Willing to update us daily via [login to view URL] 2. Have access to reliable broadband and power 3. Understand how to use Github and are willing to use it regularly and understand how to merge commits 4. Available a few hours a day (this is suitable for part time Freelancers or those at Uni or with children) 5. Have familiarity with continuous integration and automated testing and have implemented these in prior projects. 6. Willing to undertake a small paid trial 7.
