A report on the issues of construction of the Naples Station

With particular emphasis on the civil and/or structural engineering aspects, review the design and the construction of the Naples Station project. With focus on the considerations needed when reconstructing a structure like this at a small scale. the small scale project will be theoretically constructed as follows: Construct an approximately 1:10 scale version of the canopy and access shaft. The 4.5m diameter shaft will be excavated with a bolted pre-cast lining (supplied), while the canopy will compromise 23 RC stub concrete columns each supporting a timber rib up to 6m in span via a steel pinned support bolted to the top of the column. The ribs will be supplied in sections pre-cut from ply, these sections to be bolted together (to give the required thickness and length). The supports, braces and ties are supplied pre-fabricated steel components with bolted connections. You must examine things for both projects, such as: Materials Design Structural elements Risk assessments Safety measures construction issues etc. You may find only limited information is available about the Naples project. Should this prove to be the case, greater use should be made of material about other specific projects that have similar features and/or generic sources about such projects. If this is the case please focus the implications back onto the Naples project to the extent that this is possible. Three main things that this report should focus on: 1. Quality of the work. 2. How well the real project (Naples Station) has been addressed. 3. How well the small scale project has been addressed.
