Hi, I have been working with barcode scanners for a number of years, and the scanner you have will most likely just need configuring to act as HID (Human Inerface Device), so when you plug it in an scan it will input the text like a keyboard, no software would be required. If it cannot be configured as a HID, it will be a Virtual COM port, so software such as Tera Term or Hyper Terminal would read from it for you. If you are unable to find, if yo could supply me with the model I would be happy to provide configuration for you to be able to scan into any application, no bespoke software would be required.
