The task is to watch and save offline a video course I purchased. You will need to download a free screen capturing software to do so (such as OBS studio, but it's up to you as long as the video and audio quality is good). Once you watch and record the videos you need to use the Handbrake software. The Handbrake software allows for significant size decrease of video files. Once the videos are downsized I will need you to copy them over to me using Google Drive. Also, with each video, there will be PDF document attached. I need this downloaded as well. The file names should be descriptive of what episode number and its subject. There are about 12 episodes to watch. Each one is about 30 min long. Therefore, I estimate that the whole project should not take you more than 10 hours of active work.

Failing that, there's always the technique you mention, using OBS to record the video playing full screen and then recompressing it to get smaller file sizes.
