I am looking for an MS ACCESS expert who is very good with working on Reports. I have a spread Sheet that I would like to move into an Access Database. Please open the attached file (Load [login to view URL])
The database in the attachment is for example purposes to get you started.... OPEN THE DATABASE
This project involves 3 requirements.
1. Creating an import function & a Route Planning Form:
a) Create a function that Imports the Attached ".txt" Files into MS Access database and fill the table called "Tbl: Imported QAD Files". The text files come in every day, every hour so by the end of the day you've imported 8 files per supplier 1 for each hour. You need to include an indicator that shows when the file was imported(a new column showing date & time). The example table in the database is Tbl: Imported QAD Files
b) Route Planning:
Create a form that allows the user to plan # of Trucks and Routes. I've created a sample in a form called "Export". you need to Add the Planned Data sub form and allow the user to create results like in the table "Tbl: Planned Data" this has to be a very easy and quick proccess because there are over 50 Routes to be created.
2. Utilization Allocation:
a) Utilization by supplier in MS Access:
Look at the Queries in the database. It relates to the supplier tabs in the Excel. Most of the calculations have already been completed. Example: If you look at tab "CUSTOM MOLDED PRODUCTS" in the Load [login to view URL] and find "QRY: Sub Total Release.." in the database >>Filter>>DeliverDate "12/2/2010" You will see that the Utilization has already been calculated to match Utilization on the Excel sheet.
- You need this information for next step 2b.
b)Truck Assignment:
Assign Results of Utilization Calculation to Number of Trucks Assigned in 1(b) above. So when a file is imported the logic checks if that supplier has any planned trucks availlable then assigns all Orders to the availlable Trucks & Routes. If a truck is over capacity either because of (M3,Weight or skid spot) then allow the user to add an additional truck or reduce QAD Order quantities. Then generate Load Plan>>>
3. Reports:
Load Plan: Example in Excel
This report shows us how the Orders will be loaded on each truck and starting from skid spot 1 and which supplier orders are loaded. Each Route assigned in 1b that has orders in 1a should be shown in the report. If the Truck was over capacity when you calculated 2a then show BlowOut as shown in the attached example
Please review the attachment and ask any questions you may have before bidding. I am looking for a commited developer willing to work on other projects after this one.
Happy bidding.
Regards
15 yeears of working as an independent MS Access / Excel developer says I can assist you with this project. It looks interesting and provides a challenge that I will enjoy. Also see PM.
