Overview Our competitive differentiator is that group-based learning is a higher quality and more enjoyable learning experience. We contrast ourselves against very low-cost DIY learning programs (Udemy, Coursera, etc.) and high-end classroom-based programs. Our key value is that students get to know their mentors and peers – we offer relationship-based learning. Current Environment Practical [login to view URL] is the “parent” and serves instructional designers and organizations. There are four public-facing sites, the first is [login to view URL] (CSB), which is getting traction. These are Word Press sites using elegant themes Divi, Bloom, and Monarch; Woo commerce; iThemes Sync, Backup Buddy, and Security Pro; Yoast. Hosted on Site Ground. Programs are held on the Canvas LMS with Zoom, and we’ve integrated the sites to Canvas for course registration. These are high touch, dynamic sites. CSB offers three primary services: classes/workshops, support groups, and mentors (we use the term “Programs” generically for classes, workshops, support groups, and “Mentors” for teachers, coaches, trainers, etc.). Needs Please feel free to propose solutions for any or all of these tasks. 1. Operational support / training. I would like to establish a regular weekly working sessions. I’ll have a list of questions and issues that turn into either operational improvements or tasks for you to do. I expect you to be solid with my environment (the websites, hosting, connected tools), experienced with the plug ins, and a customer-focused solution partner. As I want someone on my team who can respond to operational problems quickly, I am willing to work on a retainer or guaranteed weekly or monthly rate based on perhaps 5 hours/week. 2. Course registration project. The current course catalog and registration system cannot accommodate rapid growth (Current solution: classes, groups, mentors). Propose either an off-the-shelf (plug-in or modifications of the current environment) and or a custom solution for providing this solution with your recommendation why it is the best choice. We are still pre-revenues, so a cost-effective solution is critical. Ultimately we think the long-term solution is a stand-alone database supporting all sites, a creative interim cost-effective solution is desired. We’ll have to make a build vs. buy judgement. An old solution was a modified out of the box woo commerce solution that looked like this: [login to view URL] but with a bit of CSS that let me modify the text (remove price, add short description and mentor's name). This seems like an viable solution. To handle the increase in classes, is there a way to be able to sort by category or tag? That could get us a lot further down the road. Other ideas? 3. Marketing Support. We use social media and paid advertising to drive traffic to the sites. We need to have the web-side set up and managed. For any of the below, the ongoing support of SEO/Analytics/Campaign/CRM can be added to the operational routine. 3.1 SEO. I have Yoast Premium, but it has not been set up. I expect to have to do this myself: as I add a class, I’ll need to tag the class and optimize it. If you have expertise here, then please train and support me. 3.2 Analytics. I’d like someone to set up analytics and present regular reports and optimization recommendations. 3.3 Campaign support. As we run marketing campaigns, we may want landing pages set up to work with the campaign (tracking links, etc.). 3.4 CRM Interface. We use MailChimp, I’ll need to web site tuning to make sure we’re capturing email addresses. If you are a mail chimp whiz, I could use help there too. We may change to anew CRM as some point, so if you have one you’re solid with, let me know.
