564574 creating query and report in access 2007

Hello, am attaching sample database. open it and you will find a tbl1. I am working with [Type],[Qty], and [Ship Date]. If you look at query [ qryAllTypeCount2]- this is my attempt at finding solution. ********** I want to group by type names and have total qty's - per month [Ship Date] for each type. ********** If you look at my rpt1 - I am not able to group - because the date field is no longer a date field. I also need the list name to be in ascending order. I have attached a sample excel sheet of what the solution should provide. I don't mind if it is displayed differently- I have tried cross tab query- can you help? thank you
