I'm international student I need a simple words and some grammar mistakes The Mechanics of the written assignments: Read the individual assignment, choose the approach/topic you wish to address, and then define and discuss with examples. 1. Assignment will be typed, font size 12, single space, double space between paragraphs. Be sure your full name and course/section is included. Cover sheets and folders are not necessary, but fasten multiple sheets. If you can print front/back on a page, that’s fine! 2. For any comparison assignments enumerate your points – a chart is acceptable and be sure to include the rationale for your choice and be advised that sometimes a concrete example may help illustrate your point. 3. The textbook should rarely be used as the sole source of information for these papers. 4. Both gravitas and humor are possible in the assignments 5. I expect that you will apply grammar and spell check to all written submissions 6. When you consult sources, always identify the source with appropriate citations. 7. Wikipedia is NEVER an acceptable source for this class. 8. Remember admonition if you attempt to submit an assignment online! You do so at your own risk/peril. I have established drop boxes for these written assignments. 9. Assignment is due at the beginning of class on the assigned day unless other indication given orally. Assignment 3 Due Tuesday November 24 This is a research paper, 8-10 pages in textual length. It can cover any topic: event, personality, technological development, societal change within Western Civilization during the 1900s and first 12 years of the 2000s. The research paper should be documented, at least 5 sources, and I would encourage at least one of those sources to be a book, not the textbook for the course. In the past I have encouraged students to use their degree focus as an inspiration for the subject, therefore athletic, political, cultural technological developments are part of the acceptable themes for the paper. Usual form for research papers is expected, including title page, bibliography. I have in the past also encouraged students to devise charts, utilize photographs or other websites in their presentations. I am also willing to accept a critical book review for this assignment, but the book must be approved in advance, and a critical review is not a book report. In addition to relaying the theme of the book, a critical look at the merits of the viewpoint of the author is expected
