The proposed grant program is necessary and important to our African American and Latino underserve community. Due to the pandemic Convid-19 many families are unemployed or under unemployed. Our Communities are left to eat anything unhealthy because of the lack of resources. Survey from the USDA cited 2015 Sep 11; fifty million people are food insecure in the United States. In our county alone 16.0% of West Palm Beach, FL residents had an income below the poverty level in 2019, which was 20.6% greater than the poverty level of 12.7% across the entire state of Florida. Considering residents not living in families, 16.4% of high school graduates and 45.3% of non-high school graduates live in poverty. The importance of this Grant to help more Groups who may lack transportation to healthy food sources include those with chronic diseases or disabilities, residents of rural areas, and some minority groups. Some people living in low-income predominantly black neighborhoods travel by bus therefore the Organization can schedule more deliveries to our communities by continue use the Police Athletic league transportation. Also, to stop the statistic of families who do not have enough or giving up one meal to eat unhealth food. Our Charity organization has the background and expertise to accomplish our plans. This program delivers 70 boxes of nutritional health food boxes to individuals including helping Children. Seniors, Adult children and disable persons can eat a good health meal the organization community are our neighbors’ and people that are living 10 miles from our Organization with delivery of groceries as need. The Police Athletic League of West Palm they have officers that are engaged in the community at the League after school center they are some of groceries are delivered to for pick up the local resident where children attend. This program will Continues to support our local communities. Food for Thoughts Charity proposed plans are connected and relevant to the funder’s interests. Since outreach program connects and serve the need for our local and surrounding community by providing a security that needed food. The program connects with teachers from the local public schools where students are in the classroom hungry. This Organization mission is reaching more of the surrounding area to family that are going to bed hungry. The impact that our Organization have more some family lives increase from not sending time taking the bus now they can text, or voice note instead of calling order for order need delivering, because they have not enough. Also, the Charity implementation of mobile pickup to these family’s member who have transportation this is convenient and safe this service will be over see by off duty and retired Police officers that engage with our charity over a decade. The way we can measure Food for thoughts Charity project’s success is to increase our outreach to more familiar members to fight for food security and act around this critical issue. Signing up more than one family member stated volunteering and our goal is to encourage at least ten volunteers personally to sign on to this project it will allow more family to be reach. The project will also get the help to families who are out touch with their communities because of disabilities, age, or sickness. This Charitable organization’s specific competencies and our organization proposal’s projected cost and any other funding sources.
