Bookkeeping for Berlin based company

Our business: dBs Berlin is an exciting new education and training institute providing diploma and degree courses in music production, sound engineering and film to students from 40 different countries. Accounting software and services: We focus on using cloud computing solutions for all of our financial services. This includes Xero, Receipt Bank, Paymill, Transferwise and Gocardless. We are also hoping to link Xero to other relevant services in order to streamline our operation. Required work: Provide day to day bookkeeping services using the above mentioned applications. These services will include invoicing, payments, record keeping appropriate to the German system and bank reconciliation. The work will be overseen and verifed by our main tax accountant in Berlin. We are happy for this work to be mainly carried out online but we would like you to visit the centre in Berlin occasionally in order for you to fully understand the business and feel part of the team. Required proficiencies: Proficiency in German and English Full familiarity with German accounting practices Familiarity with UK accounting practices useful but not essential Familiarity with Xero accounting software ([login to view URL]) useful but not essential. If you are familiar and comfortable with other similar accounting systems, online training can be provided. Conversation over the phone to Berlin & UK in English and German If you are located within or close to Berlin this would be a big help as we could meet in person and discuss although this is not necessary.
