Hi, I have experience for 15+ years in electronics/embedded development. You can check my linkedin profile here: [login to view URL] I have several years of advanced AVR (and also arduino) development. I have also developed several bootloaders for the 8051 architecture UART-based with several physical layers (TTL, RS232, RS485). My main fulltime job is implementing communications protocols and have extensive knowledge/experience with RS-485 drivers (75176/75174, MAX485, etc.). I only have one problem regarding your project: I don't have any board with a atmega64 chip and can't take it without having one to test. I would implement your project, but in the following scenarios only: - you would send me a board to test; - you would wait for me to get an atmega64 and would only begin development when it arrives - this envolves hardware work, as I would have to make my own devboard and the price bid price would have to be adjusted I would "port" an existing AVR bootloader like optiboot, stk500 or similar to your specific requirements (chip and RS485 physical connection with RX/TX control). If you are interested in my bid, please let me know some more details about your project, like the *exact* reference of the atmega64 chip you are using and I'll be able to answer you back telling if I'm up to the task or not. Hello, few month ago I had finished similar project. And can do this. But our most problem was - controlling R/W chip form other side. (With R/W controlled by atmega - all ok, but from other side of RS-485 was raspberry pi with avrdude, and avrdude did not control RW, as result we had 'not response') At the and we found 2 solutions - to use RS-422 or max13488(max13487). Do you have such problem? What must support bootloader? Thanks
