Data Wrangling Project: We have product data CSV files that we use for importing into e-commerce websites. We need someone that can take our CSV files and create a program that cleans up the data so that it imports cleanly into our platform.
There are some specifics that will need to be coded to filter out certain keys and information to strip out irrelevant information and give us the useful information.
We have made a Functional Specifications Requirement Document that outlines the design in mind. However, if you have a suggestion for a more efficient way to do this, we are happy to talk about it. You will have a sample CSV data file in order to code from.
You will need to be a good communicator. We will need you to give us an estimate of how long this will take and estimated delivery. We need clear comments in the code, especially in terms of input that is needed from the user.
This contract is for you to write the code for us, which will be ours. We will need the source code .py files turned over to us. Please do good unit testing and then our team will do user acceptance testing.
Final payment is made when we have possession of the program and the core functionality is working; we are okay with paying in phases if you need this. Major bugs that affect the core functionality will need to be fixed before the project is concluded. However, we can enter into a 2nd contract for other bugs and enhancements. We are looking for someone who meets these needs and will be happy to partner with in the future if this goes well.
We need several fields cleaned up and logic implemented to break out the item's attributes and descriptions. We have detailed specifications on this. No UI needed, just a program that runs within our PyCharm IDE will work.
