You are a freelance designer, and have been awarded a contract to create a PC-based CD-ROM to promote a local store (you can choose its name and location) which is due to open shortly. The CD-ROM will be distributed in the local newspaper. The application must be authored in Director 11.5. The interactive will be controlled by a main menu screen. The first entry on the menu will lead to a 30 second animated advertisement for the store, suitable for screening on national TV. This must incorporate animated type, animated graphics, and sound. The animations must all be created by you using tweening and other techniques in Director. No imported animations (such as video clips or animated GIFs etc) may be used in this piece. All graphical elements must be edited in Photoshop The main menu of the interactive will also contain a further 5 - 8 entries. Each of these will lead to a separate section of the CD-ROM. At least two of these sections must consist of more than a single screen. Topics covered in these menu entries might include some of the following, business location, giving a map of the local area, information about other outlets in the chain, products and services provided, information about special offers and other useful information. There will also be a store launch event. You should provide a screen or screens about the launch - who will cut the ribbon - what special attractions there will be, etc. In addition, the main menu screen will have a discrete red button at the bottom-left hand corner of the screen which takes the user to a second menu with 4 selectable items: Research, Usability report, Evaluation and Credits. Clicking on any of these takes you to an information screen, each of which has a maximum word count of 300 words words (except the credits and bibliography, which has no limit)
