Design the home page for a cutting edge educational website

Alto is a new, free educational site that uses an innovative approach to teach students from grade 2 to grade 12 a host of subjects. We are looking for a fresh modern home page to attract students, teachers and parents alike. Our current team, while very good with the technology of learning would get a very generous 3/10 for their graphic design capabilities as evidenced by our current home page www.alto.guru. While we are not wedded to the current wording or logo, we believe it conveys the messages well. We want to combine these messages into a modern homepage that coveys the cutting edge technology Alto will bring to a students learning. Note we are running a closed beta and our home page is all that is visible right now.
