Please read the entire description before bidding. We are currently looking to create a working prototype for an Employee Feedback app for business use. This app will require a client for the user, a server to handle passing messages back and forth and perform custom operations with the message, as well as interacting with a database to store ratings, etc. We would like our working demo to be an an android app. The winning bidder should be ready to provide the basic end-to-end solution required (client, server, and database with working interaction/integration) We have already had a number of consultants advise us on the architecture, and they generally suggest Ruby on Rails, Java, or custom XMPP as a base. We're platform agnostic at the moment as long as the product meets our requirements to be extendable in the future and work with Facebook, Iphone, and Web apps. Requirements: Specific Requirements (use case): Client: Iphone client that maintains a contact list of other app users. User1 can select a contact (User2) and give them a +1 or -1. This rating is sent to the server. Server: The server stores this rating in a DB. Each app user's cumulative rating is stored. The server will then notify User2 that they have received either a +1 or -1 rating anonymously. User2 does not know who gave them the rating. This notification WILL NOT be real-time. Client: User1 or User2 can check the app and see their accumulated feedback rating pulled from the server at any time. This feedback should be represented graphically (ie, pie chart). This is the basic functionality that the prototype app should have. We will be deploying it to either a private server or AWS for testing. Winning bidder may be asked to install the software on the server. We have Balsamiq/Sketch mockups for the app design and Logo assets. Initial app will have to support ads. General Requirements: As a working prototype, your solution needs to be able to scale, be efficient, extendable, and ready for adding future features. As we expect the winning bidder will do a GREAT job, there is the opportunity for quite a bit of paid follow up work as the app is developed. We plan to add many additional features as well as an Android/Facebook app. Whatever your backend/server solution is, it must be able to interface with multiple user platforms in the future. Please use the PMB to describe how the solution you will build will meet our specific requirements. Bidders will get a lot more consideration if they include how their solution also meets our general requirements and desire for future features/versions. If you use the PMB and feel you can meet many of our future feature desires, please let us know and bid it as a larger job accordingly as long as you describe what you can do with your bid. In other words, we'll accept a higher bid if you can demonstrate the increased value through your PMB pitch. We can provide more details through PMB. You may be asked to sign an NDA. We will (obviously) acquire/retain all copyright, license, and patent rights to the app, server, and database software.
