Build a Chromium browser fro digital signage

App for Digital Signage We have developed a digital signage software that lets our users create slides containing figures, htmls5, CSS, text, images, videos, rss, YouTube etc. Each slide is stored in its own record in our [login to view URL] slideshow is run by accessing a specific url, that with help from a cookie shows the slideshow for the specific display. The slideshow runs in any browser, but I would like to create an app that is installed directly on a Windows computer for running our system, so that it will be more stable. For example I would like that the app running our slideshow should save all content to the disk and run everything from the local player. Also if anything goes wrong (site crash, app crash, stall, etc.) I want the app to automatically get back on track. Demands for app: Today we use a cookie to store the unique ID for the display, so that the correct display content is shown on the correct player. The app should do similar, so that the app knows which display to show content for. The app should download all slides and content, including mp4-video and Youtube to local disc, and run slideshow from there, to run smoothly even if player looses internet, and to I save data in case of metered connection. The app should run in fullscreen mode without any buttons whatsoever in different ratios. Future plans (could be next project): Today we alter a Windows 10 installation to start a browser directly in kiosk mode. This works pretty good, but constant Windows updates are killing [login to view URL] we can get a stable browser working, I am interested in creating a OS which only purpose is to run our player, with few options like connecting to WiFi [login to view URL] could be ChromeOS, Android or [login to view URL] focus is that we get full control over a platform specifically build for our system.
