Resolve issues with Shopify custom section (theme section development)

I am looking for assistance with resolving issues in my Shopify store's custom section. Specifically, I am having functionality issues and need the expertise of an experienced freelancer to help me overcome them. The section is supposed to be used to display information (like shipping and returns policies) using tabs. The issue is with the Javascript code. The first time i add the section in the theme editor, the section looks empty, the section only looks right when i click the save button in the theme editor . The Js code contains some DOM manipulations, so every thing in the section that depends on the Js part doesn't execute until i hit the save button. I included screenshots to show the section before and after clicking the save button. the tabs section has the ability to add blocks, each block added represents a new tab. The section's block has a title setting and a text setting, the title is for the tab's title and the text is for the content of the tab. Did it this way to be able to change them anytime so that's why i did some DOM manipulation in the js file. But when the section is added in the theme editor it looks empty, only when i hit the save button that the section looks as it should. I noticed that the js code doesn't execute only after clicking the save button. Also tried the DOMContentLoaded js event to fix the issue but in vain. Is that a normal behavior, although i didn't noticed this issue in the other sections provided by Shopify. I can add you as a collaborator to see the section behavior if you want. i need someone who can identify the issue, and fix it, so all the section elements appear as soon as i add it in the theme editor, not needing to click the save button to see the full section. noting that i am short on budget as it is for my personal project, so $15 is what i can pay. thank you .
