We are looking for someone to prepare a simple Ansible script for Ubuntu 20.04 hosts.
We would like this to work on remote hosts via SSH but also to be tested in a Docker container.
There are two roles that we want:
role1:
- update packages
- install latest docker-ce
- create a new user [tempuser]
- install ssh pubkey
- disable password login
- configure firewall, close all ports except SSH access
role2:
- install a self-hosted github runner for tempuser
- activate as a service with tempuser credentials

Hi There,
I will create ansible playbooks as per mentioned requirement, which version of ansible you have in use? Are you using any ansible tower as well?
Thanks,
Let's have a short call to discuss and finish it in couple of days. I have good experience in writing ansible playbooks. I have written playbook to create and deploy entire private cloud. As well worked in deployment of multiple applications and infrastructure as code using ansble.
Hi,
my name is Marco and I wanted to thank you for the invitation. Currentlyl I'm working for a internationl software house specialist on Dynamics CRM. Mostly I'm working with APIs and third party tools to manage and move data from one endpoint to another.
I also deploy and manage linux system from us and our customers. To deploy configurations I use Ansible which matches your regardings.
For you I would create the two playbooks.
Playbook 1 (Role 1) set a base configuration for the target system
Playbook 2 (Role 2) creates the github runner. The configuration of the runner needs a token which we have to define before.
And if not fully configurable we have to react on prompts. But this should be possible.
But all of this should be possible and I would like to help to fullfill your requirments.
If you have more questions please feel free to ask.
Best Regards,
Marco
Hi there
I am an Ansible SME with production deployment experience. I have developed many playbooks in my current project. I can build required playbooks and enhance your current environment. We can discuss more in chat.
