We're a nonprofit that's looking to code a SMS-based mental health hotline, utilizing Twilio, that anonymously connects users and trained peer listeners. This hotline has no associated app and occurs entirely via text message. We're looking for someone to implement this on AWS. We currently have a very barebones version based off of Java, and are looking to expand the application for more users and to add a few more features. The quick overview of how this program works is that when we receive an incoming text to a centralized number, we send a few prompts ensuring that the user knows the terms and conditions and that this isn't a crisis hotline, then connect the user to a listener. The program stores a hash of the user's number so they can receive the same listener every time, and then routes both the user's and the listener's message to the other. The routing ends when a command is received from the listener.
