I have experience with Active Directory, IIS, and Powershell to complement Exchange knowledge. I utilize heavyily industry best practices. *** For your project ***, I would review all the requirements migrating servers are in place including preparation steps. I would implement correct DNS changes to mitigate any disruption of service. Servers could be phased online as needed depending on your requirements. Correct network, firewall and VPN access would also be reviewed for correct configurations to ensure all services are available. Hi, 1) 5.0 to 5.5 did you check that all hardware still supported, drivers? in 5.5 VMware changed driver model\subsystem. Also please clarify what exactly did you use w/ VMware: vMotion, pass-throght, etc. because for example from 5.0 to 5.1 pass-throght was unstable. So you need check when could be an issue. [Checking hardware&drivers, Checking differnce between VMware versions]. I recommended check VMware tech docs & VMware forums. 2) for recovery site did you planning use VMware replication between sites? Datastorage replication? 3) as far i know RDS in 2012R2 become more complex setup than in 2008R2. 4) software&applications supported 2012R2? If some specifc software used you need to check it on 2012R2 before migraion. 5) you will need upgrade RDS CAL to 2012R2. i think you are using Open License so call to MS will be required. What 6 other servers all 2008 or 2008R2? main difference that 2008R2 only 64bit, 2008 could be 32 bit. Please clarify What services they provide? Active Directory also planning to Migrate to 2012R2? Did you use NPS? in 2012R2 no NPS. I think you need to migrate VMware first, than windows servers. Waiting from hear from you soon. Price could be changed.

Hi, the best way is to extedn your current environment and then migrate services from old to the new server - this is a simple steps. I recommend you to use VPN (IPSEC) between sites. Let´s talk even without a deal for this project. Renato P The Angel of Technology

I just do it because its fun Sir/Madam, if you Migrating your Terminal Server Farm and six others VMs from 3ESX hosts (storage?) to your new 3ESX hosts (storage?), this shouldn't be a problem main key point, aside from License compliance is Planning and Execution to cut the downtime and to make sure your system is 100% live when it's finished I've been doing this as early as 2004 let's get your Project finished shall we thank you very much!
