33044 session times out too quick

Hello i have an admin panel that times out after a very little while. The problem is some of the users will start a page then need to come back and finish the page many hours later and i can't have this time out as the script is timing the start and finish of these pages. a programmer recently wrote a 'time out' script for $15 that worked for a few weeks..but then i'm not sure what happened but it quit working and i get an array error message: i'm not sure why it quit working as we made no changes to his script but we need it to be fixed asap. I've contacted the guy who wrote the script 3 times but he won't reply. The panel is written in php and has a mysql database. I'll answer any more questions that you may need answered. Thanks.
