We have posted this previously but have been advised that we would need to incorporate Flash into it for it to work. Work Description: We need a web page developed so a user can upload files from their local computer to a folder residing on a web server. EDIT: After discussions with a number of developers we realise we cant select a folder but we will require the user to be able to browse to a folder and use the control key to select one, multiple or all files in the folder to upload. The files displayed in the browse folder must correpond with files listed in a table in the sql server database. See attached document for more detail. ## Deliverables 1. Work Description We need a web page developed so a user can upload files from their local computer to a folder residing on a web server. There is a list of names stored in a database table (tblValidFilenameList - fldFileName). This will be used to restrict which files can be selected for upload to the server (see below for further detail). Bear in mind that the items in this table can change from time to time so it must be able to account for this. 2. Operations Step 1: From the Page, user can browse and select a folder on their local drive. Step 2: All files in that folder will be presented on the page as long as the first characters of their filename can be found in any record in tblValidFilenameList. For example, if a record in the tblValidFilenameList shows "T1B1C1", and there are four files in the selected folder named [login to view URL], [login to view URL] and T1B1C1-1 [login to view URL], [login to view URL] only the first three filenames will be available for selection for upload (multi select - not one file at a time). Files need to be shown for all matching records in tblValidFilenameList. Step 3: User can continue to browse other local folders and append more local files in the same way as mentioned in Step 2. Step 4: Then user can view the files listed on the page and will have the ability remove the file which he/she doesn't want, then click the Upload button. Step 5: When the Upload button is clicked we need to upload the files to a specified folder on the web server and rename them. The files will have text removed from the file name and the text "_bb#" will be added to the end of each filename. Eg in the example above: [login to view URL] will be renamed to [login to view URL] [login to view URL] will be renamed to [login to view URL] T1B1C1-1 [login to view URL] will become T1B1C1_bb3.html. 3. Technical Requests A. ASP.NET 3.5 with C#, IIS 7.0/7.5, AJAX/JavaScript B. No special requirement for the database type (Access/SQL Server Express/SQL Server), Please put the Connection String in the Web.config. C. The Upload button can do POSTBACK since we might have to add more code in the POSTBACK Event handler. D. The Page style can be adjusted by Style Sheet. 4. Expected Results ASP.NET project files include but not limited to *.aspx, *.cs/*.vb, *.config, *.css and other necessary support documents.
