There is a patch for qmail located at <[login to view URL]> called the :
"Qmail Virtual Domain Outgoing IP Address Patch"
In short it does the following:
"qmail-remote has been patched to use the IP address of the virtual domain and also use the virtual domain as HELO host instead of the default"
Now this works great as intended and the HELO command is the domain name. (e.g. HELO [login to view URL])
I would like this changed so that mail. is preprended to the domain for use in the HELO command. i.e. I would like it coded so the following appears for the HELO command :
HELO [login to view URL]
INSTEAD of how it works currently
HELO [login to view URL]
I believe the only file that needs any coding is qmail-remote.c
Specifically the following line of the C file:
stralloc_copy ( &helohost, &smtphost );
If this could be rewritten so that the logic is:
&helohost = mail.&smtphost
then it should work fine.
