I need people to write plug-ins for an electronic circuit schematic simulation CAD program. The main program already exists, I just need people to write plug-ins for it. Handling plug-in's is a new feature of the main program. While writing the plug-in you will actually be testing the plug-in functionalty at the same time, and possibly requesting new features needed by the plug-in from the main program, and suggesting ways to improve plug-in SDK and make it easier to use. The plug-in will act like a new device that can be placed on the schematic diagram, connected to other devices and other plug-ins, and interact with the user while the simulation is running. It can process mouse clicks, cursors, etc using a bunch of call back functions. Basically it's like an owner draw control, where the plug-in draws the graphic on the schematic and handles all the simulation processing rather than the main program. The plug-in can process voltages, currents generated by the simulation, do DSP, show results or graphics etc while the simulation is running. Plug-ins can be anything, from simulating a simple light bulb to simulating an entire CPU in real-time. I need many plug-ins made, example test instruments (spectrum analyzer, digital-multi meter, frequency counter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer) or circuit components (fuse, LCD display, switches) or even a CPU like 8051, PIC, Atmel AVR etc. Right now I would need a spectrum analyzer instrument. Then later lots more. A spectrum analyzer looks like this [login to view URL] The spectrum analyzer would be placed on the schematic then connected to wires on the screen. As the voltages in the schematic gets generated during the simulation the spectrum analzer will convert it into a bunch of frequencies and show it on a moving graph like the one on that page.
