Make CakePHP 1.1 application to work on PHP 5.3

I have one application written using CakePHP 1.1 and works fine on my VPS on DreamHost. I moved to new server with PHP 5.3 and application won't work. I'm getting blank page when try to load it. I Googled and found that I need to upgrade to CakePHP 1.3 at least to be able work with PHP 5.3. I'll provide FTP details later. There 2 solutions to this 1. Do comprehensive changes to cake 1.1 so that it work on php 5.3 2. Migrate to newer cakephp Solution one is impractical as it will be highly unmaintainable and also you will keep facing some strange issues. I would strongly recommend to migrate to cakephp 2.x. I am expert in cakephp migration and various migrated cake application of version 1.1 , 1.2 1.3 etc and can quickly migrate the application to newer cakephp version.
