Inventory Tracking Program

This is a fairly standard inventory program. Here is the context of what we need. We sell media (Video Games, DVD's which all have UPC barcodes already) on different website outlets, auctions,etc. Since our sales are so fragmented, it is hard to know what we have in stock. What we are looking for is a program (Maybe just a custom Microsoft Access database?) which will keep track of what we have, and deplete inventory as we ship out items. **We would barcode scan each item that we ship out.** As new merchandise is restocked, we would key in the number to "add" to our inventory...and cycle continues. **BAREBONE FEATURES: - be able to match each upc to a title** (this is so that the data would have meaning to us, like 5 Matrix DVD's in stock as opposed to qty of 5 for a specific UPC. So in other words, each UPC can have a corresponding title if we input it, otherwise it could remain blank) **- be networkable in a lan** (thus different workstations could use the same database and ship out items simultaneously) **- least user intervention as possible **( we need it so that when program is in "deplete" mode for example, each barcode swipe results in a decrease by 1 for that inventory item. We also need it so that lets say we need to deplete an item 5 times, we could type number 5 and then the barcode for example as opposed to swiping the same item 5 times) **ADVANCED/FUTURE POSSIBLE FEATURES: - reporting** (have statistics on hottest selling i.e. turnover rates of specific titles, what has not been selling i.e. dormant inventory items, warn based on projections for hot selling items when inventory count is low -- maybe a message box or automatically send an email) - **scalable** (we would like it flexible so that future modifications and enhancements possible) For your information: Microsoft Access 2003 is available for every workstation. There are roughly 5 workstations, each running Windows XP. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP, 100MB/S LAN
